Imagine this: God gives you everything you ask for when you ask for it. I can tell you this: in a year or two, your life would be boring. The mystery would be gone.

I believe that we live for a certain number of years based on the value we bring to the world. During those years, we play an important role in the lives of our family, friends, and peers. The long-awaited lessons we learn leading up to those moments are more impactful based on the intensity and longevity of the struggle.

Compare these two scenarios:

1. Ten years of having your patience tested, leading to achieving a level of patience very few have, and teaching people about it.

2. Before bed, you pray for more patience. The next morning, you are the most patient person in the world.

Now, someone asks you how you became so patient and would like you to teach them how to be like you. Would you tell them that one day before bed you prayed, and the next morning you woke up with what you asked for? Or would you share stories and lessons learned over ten years that led you to where you are?
